Easy Joy Scrapbook Handmade Christmas Card

by Linette

I have a super easy handmade last minute Christmas card you can make with your kids if you have a Cricut. If you don’t, just change the Christmas card up a bit and make it with stickers or die cut letters. This card was super easy, and all I used was card stock and the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge (which I love). This would make a great card to use for a money or gift card holder.

I tried several different ribbons on this card, but I couldn’t find one I like, so I used a piece of polka dot Christmas scrapbook paper to make my own! It turned out perfect!

8 1/2 by 11 inch dark green card stock
8 1/2 by 11 inch red card stock
8 1/2 by 11 inch green card stock
piece of polka dot red green and white Christmas scrapbook paper, or another matching small printed Christmas pattern

Cricut Mini
Straight edge cutter

Instructions:

Step 1: Fold the 8 1/2 by 11 dark green card stock in half on the 11 inch side.
Step 2: Use the Create a Critter Cartridge to cut the word JOY, you can find that with the cuts for the reindeer, in the book it’s page 73 (Shift Phrase). Cut 1 at 4 inches.
Step 3: Use a straight cutter to cut a piece of red card stock to 4 1/2 by 8 inches.
Step 4: Cut two strips from the Christmas scrapbook paper 3/8 by 8 inches with the straight edge cutter.
Step 5: Use the scrapbook tape to stick the red card stock to the center of the front of the dark green card stock.
Step 6: Center Joy over the top of the red card stock and stick it down with double sided scrapbook tape.

That is super cute! I really wish I was into crafts and scrapbooking. I have seen some amazing things and it is unbelievable that you can make these items yourself! I’d spend a fortune buying them in a store!
