Teen Beach Movie is premiering on the Disney channel on Friday, July 19 (8:00 p.m. ET/PT). To celebrate I’ve put together some fun beach party ideas to share with you! We’ve been at the lake for the last week, so I thought it would be perfect timing to put together a fun beach party.
“Teen Beach Movie” follows a pair of teen surfing sweethearts Brady and McKenzie. While they’re riding the last wave of the summer, they find themselves mysteriously taken back in time into a classic beach party movie called “Wet Side Story.” In the classic movie it’s surfer versus bikers for control of the beach hangout…and everyone spontaneously breaks into song and dance. Now, Brady and McKenzie must try to return to present day. Their lives may be changed forever when they inadvertently alter the movie’s romantic storyline when handsome surfer Tanner falls for McKenzie and biker girl Lela starts swooning for Brady.
Of course the story is all told in classic Disney flair! This is one movie I can’t wait to check out!
We had a blast putting together our beach party. Disney sent us some fun Teen Beach movie gear, including masks, a beach bag, beach ball, some jewelry, temporary tattoos, and much more!
The kids had a blast trying on the masks, wearing the tattoos, and eating the popcorn! I added in some cupcakes with some fun flip flop toppers I found at our local store.
I put together a few more fun beach party ideas to help you celebrate Teen Beach Movie:

- Download the “Teen Beach Movie” printable party kit including recipes, themed games, activities and music videos.
- Of course you should plan the party so you can watch Teen Beach Movie!
- Let the kids decorate their own flip flops
- Make a surfboard cake with the pattern included in the Teen Beach Movie party kit, or decorate cupcakes with mini surfboards or flip flops. Crushed graham crackers make wonderful edible sand!
- Grab some Teen Beach bracelets or necklaces at Claires for fun party favors for your guests.
The most important part is to have fun and check out the Teen Beach Movie on Friday July 19th!
