The Amazing Spider-Man Viewing Party #SpiderManWMT

by Linette

I shared with you a couple weeks ago about how excited we were to pre-ordering the Amazing Spider-Man, and that our pre-order also included a digital copy of The Amazing Spider-Man through Vudu.com. This week we got access to the movie on Vudu just in time to have a Spider-Man Halloween viewing party with some of our friends and family. I also received a notice in my email telling me my Blu-Ray/ DVD version of The Amazing Spider-Man is on it’s way, so we should receive it next week one day!

I headed out to Walmart to pick up many of the things we’d need for the party. Of course we had to have pizza! The Marketside Pizzas at Walmart right now even feature The Amazing Spider-Man on the box.

There’s also a scanning code on the box you can use with the Web Slinger App to bring Lizard to life in 3D to battle Spider-Man. I think the kids will get a big kick out of that!

We had our Spider-Man viewing party just in time for Halloween so we had a costume party and encouraged everyone to dress up. Of course we had to have a Spider-Man, so while I was at Walmart I picked up a Spider-Man Halloween costume for my nephew.

I wanted to give our viewing party a spider theme, since it was Halloween there was plenty to find to help us make our party spider-y. Spider webbing food is super easy, just use a small round decorating tip and some royal icing. Make a couple circles with the icing, then run a toothpick through the circles from the inside to the outside circle. I have a better tutorial, and more information on our Amazing Spider-Man treats here: Spider-y Spider-Man treat ideas. Check out some of the treats we had:

We also had the Marketside Pizza. It was super easy, we just popped it in the oven when it was time for the party, then sliced it up and served it right along side the other party food. It didn’t take long for them to bake, so we started one a few minutes before the guests arrived, then popped a second pizza in the oven a few minutes before we were ready to eat.

Everyone had a great time enjoying the food and checking out all the fun costumes.

Of course we had a wide variety of costumes, we even had an Iron Man, and a clown.

But The Amazing Spider-Man stole the show! He was so cute in his costume!

After we were done eating we settled in to check out the movie. Vudu has several options for streaming the movie from the internet, including watching it from your computer or laptop, from your iPad, or from several gaming systems. We watched the movie through our xbox.

The movie was really good and everyone had a great time at the party! I loved the new take on the main characters. I can’t wait to get my Spider-Man DVD/ Blu-Ray Gift Set in the mail! #SpiderManWMT
