You know you can count on Disney for some great family films! I don’t think 2012 will be an exception. There were some fun Disney kids movies in 2011, and I’m sure there will be some more fun in 2012! They’re releasing some of their biggest hits in 3D, but they’ve also got some new classics in the making coming out this year. Check out the full line up!

2. Coming February 17: The Secret World of Arrietty released by Disney from Studio Ghibli rated G
The Clock family is a 4 inch tall family who secretly in the home of another family, until Arrietty is discovered. Here’s the trailer:
3. In theaters March 9: John Carter, also in Disney Digital 3D and Imax 3D
John Carter finds himself transplanted to Mars, where he discovers a lush planet where he’s imprisoned by 12-foot tall barbarians. He escapes, to find a princess who is desperately needs saved. The trailer:
4. Premiering on Earth Day April 20: Chimpanzee from Disneynature in collaboration with Jane Goodall
I saw the previews for this one, and it looks adorable. I’m a big fan of the Disneynature films, and I’m sure I’ll love this one too! Oscar is a little chimpanzee with a big family, playful and curious then he suddenly finds himself alone in the world.
It’s a true story about an orphaned and the one who raises him as his own. During opening week DisneyNature will make a donation in your honor if you see the film. The trailer (it’s adorable):
5. On May 4: Marvel’s the Avengers, also in 3D and IMAX 3D from Marvel Studios
All your favorite Marvel characters are back, and all together to fight evil! ‘m sure this movie will be big this spring to kick off the summer blockbuster season!
6. In movie theaters on June 22: Brave, also in Disney Digital 3D via animated film favorites Disney/Pixar
When Princess Merida is granted one wish, she has to learn to rely on her bravery and her archery skills to undo a beastly curse and rescue her kingdom. The trailer:
7. Premiering August 15: The Odd Life Of Timothy Green
When a childless couple buries a box in the back yard with their wishes for a child they get Timothy Green when he appears one day, but he may not be all that he seems.
8. Hitting the big screen again on September 14: Finding Nemo 3D via Disney/Pixar
This is one of my all time favorite animated movies, and it’s being re released in 3D!
9. October 5: Frankenweenie, also in Disney Digital 3D
Victor finds himself with a science experiment gone monsterously wrong, when he tries to bring his beloved dog Sparky back to life.
10. November 12: Wreck-It-Ralph, in Disney Digital 3D from Walt Disney Animation Studios
Ralph sneaks into a shooter game and leashes a deadly enemy. Can he undo what he started?
