Summer is the perfect time to plan a golf party for the golf fan in your life. I thought I’d put together a collection of golf party supplies and ideas to help the planning process along. It’s the perfect time of the year for a golf party, the kids can get outside and and have putting or driving contest, or even head to the local putt putt golf location for a quick round during the party.
My son’s a big golf fan, so when I saw Celebrate Express has new golf party supplies I was excited. Check them out:

I snapped this photo at a local food show I went to, but it wouldn’t be a difficult cake to recreate. A couple round cake pans, and the Wilton Sports Ball Pan Set to make the golf ball on top. This cake was mostly decorated with rolled fondant, but you could create something similar with butter cream icing, or a combination of butter cream and fondant.
Or make a flat sheet cake and decorate it like a golf course. Top it with a golf cake decorating set like this Golf Cart Cake Kit
A few more golf party ideas:
- Top cupcakes with new golf balls for an easy cupcake and a small favor kids can take home (after they lick the icing off).
- Have a putting contest to see who can get the ball closest to the hole (or cup in the yard).
- Serve small round foods, like chicken nuggets, pigs in a blanket, and doughnut holes.
- Create your own putt putt golf course in the yard and use a plastic golf set (or two) for the little ones, or take older kids to play mini putt putt, or for a round of golf if you can arrange it with your local club in advance.
