We had the opportunity to check out Mattel’s new Fijit Friends and to have a fun dance party while we were at it! I’ve wanted to check out the Fijit Friends in person since I saw them premiere at the Toy Show last spring! So I was super excited to have the opportunity to get my hands on them!
When we got them in the mail of course I had to get them out to play! Fijit Friends come all ready to interact with your kids, with several sayings and replies already pre-programmed in the dolls.
Some of the conversations Fijit Friends can have include:
- Knock knock jokes
- How’s the weather?
- You can also talk with them about your feelings or mood.
- What’s going on?
Dance with me mode is my favorite. Tell your Fijit Friend you want to dance, and she’ll ask your tunes or mine? If you pick your tunes she’ll rock out to whatever you’re dancing to. If you pick her tunes she’ll play a little tune herself while she dances.
There are 4 different Fijit Friends available:
- Trend Setting Willa~ purple
- Adventurous Sage~ green
- Sweetie Pie Serafina~ pink
- Sporty Logan~ blue
We got to check out both Sage and Willa.
Last Saturday we put together our own little Fijit Friends playdate-dance party.
We had a warm day, but the girls were troopers when we were working on shooting our video for Mattel. They even had a few silly rockin’ out moments.
We got several fun dance videos, here’s my favorite:
Like I said the girls did a great job!
Mattel sent us some fun stuff for our Fijit party, but I wanted to put together a few ideas to help if you’re planning your own. We got some Fijit ears head bands, but I also made some so you can see how easy it is. All you need are a couple purple pipe cleaners and a purple head band. To make ears for the other Fijit Friends just use card stock, and corresponding head band colors.
We also had some fun necklaces, bracelets, and boas, which you could pick up easily at a dollar store, and I made some Fijit Friends treat bag, with some tissue paper, construction paper and purple pipe cleaners, the complete instructions are here: Fijit Friends Treat Bags
The girls got to take home the Fijit Friends after the party.
If you’d like to order your own Fijit Friend right now Mattel is offering free shipping until August 31, 2011, just use the code: FIJITBL here: Mattel Shop
I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Mattel Fijit Friends and received product samples, a party kit, and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.

Oh my goodness, these are just adorable and so areyour girls. The video kills me; I was worried they might pull the littlest ones arms off for a second there. Looks like they had a blast and I will be on the lookout for these toys for my girls; they would love these! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
