I thought I’d put together some Dr. Seuss Party Supplies and ideas, for anyone planning a Dr. Seuss or Cat in the Hat birthday party. These ideas would also be great for celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday which is also the day we celebrate Read Across America Day on March 2 2011.
Many schools and classes celebrate with tons of fun Seussy games, and plenty of reading. If your class is getting in on the act, or if you’re celebrating a birthday for a big Dr. Seuss fan here are some fun party supplies to get you started.

Decorate your classroom or bedroom with these Dr. Seuss Giant Wall Decals
The wall decals include several Seuss favorites, Thing 1, Thing 2, The Cat in the Hat, and the Grinch.
Jot down notes from what you read, or keep a journal in these Dr. Seuss Little Notebooks. Super cute!

Play some Dr. Seuss party games:
Pin the heart on the Grinch~ Draw a sketch of the Grinch on a whiteboard, or a large piece of white poster board, cut a heart from red construction paper, put sticky tack or double sided tape on the back. Blindfold the kids and let them take turns sticking the heart on the Grinch.
Save the Whos Race~ Have students balance a ping pong ball on a spoon to represent the small flower Horton tries to save in Horton Hears a Who. Divide the kids into teams, and make it a relay race.
Have a Thing One and Thing Two sack race or two legged race.
