I had the chance to check out a new product by a Boston based business man and his wife who wanted to make it easier for their kids to doodle on the go. The Doodle Roll would be wonderful for kids who like to sketch and scribble on the go.
At under $5 the Doodle Roll is a very affordable option to kids drawing and writing on the wall, or furniture. You can let them have fun drawing to their hearts content, even in the car. The roll is only a couple inches tall, so it’s perfect to fit along the front bar of a car seat, or to slip into your purse and take along to the dentist.
The Doodle Roll comes with 4 crayons, I think that’s the only drawback. I’d love to see a couple more colors included, but younger kids probably won’t mind!
There’s an easy fix, just grab a couple more crayons, or a small box of crayons while you’re walking out the door.
The Doodle Roll is premiering this spring, and comes in 2 sizes:
Doodle Roll 4” All-in-One Craft Kit • $3.99 • Ages 3+
Just 4 inches wide but 15 feet long, the packaging is designed to be easy for kids to open and close, with a finger-hole to make opening the crayon compartment a snap. The 4” roll is the perfect size for smaller hands. The roll curls downward toward the table, a child will not have any trouble with paper curling up while he/she draws. When done doodling, the specially shaped well for each crayon will be a reminder to put them back in.
Doodle Roll 6” All-in-One Craft Kit • $4.99 • Ages 3+
This larger size measures 6 inches wide for bigger hands and rolls out to 30 feet of blank paper. Like its smaller version, each roll comes with two end caps to keep the paper in place until its time to unroll. High quality non-toxic crayons are included with each kit.
Over all I think it’s a wonderful product for kids on the go, and it encourages kids to be creative at the same time. You can’t beat that!
