I posted some ideas for a Fresh Beat Band party a while back, I think it’s a wonderful birthday party idea for young kids, but there aren’t very many party supplies out there for this theme. Today I have some ideas and photos to share with you from Eileen.
She planned a Fresh Beat Band party for her 2 year old son Nicky, and it was a big success.
Here’s what Eileen had to say about the party:
My son, Nicky, turned 2 in October and the Nick Jr show, The Fresh Beat Band, is the only show that keeps his full interest. Since there are not a lot of party supplies at all out there, I starting crafting on my own and the ideas just kept flowing.
We had the party at a local park, so the kids had plenty to do. If they got bored, I had instrument coloring pages and crayons to keep their interest. We had “hip, hop and pop” snacks, which were just individually packaged assorted chips, pizza and cake.
I made some “Groovie Smoothie Punch” and the kids used their Fresh Beat Band sipper cups that I made using craft cups from Oriental Trading.
The party favors were echo microphones, mini chalk boards with chalk and eraser (since the FBB are in music school, cool) and a small, plush stuffed star that said “You’re a star”.
They were all packaged in a white lunch bag with custom topper and tag.
Same idea for the candy bags.
We also had some backstage passes, printed directly from the Nick Jr site, cut, laminated, hole-punched and then some curling ribbon to go around the neck.
The party was a hit and we all had a “Great Day” – Eileen B
