This looks like a handy little gadget for making juice pops during the summer when you’re on the go, or for a summer pops party. It’s called the Zoku Quick Pop Maker. It can make pops right on your counter, or outside by the pool, with no electricity required.
It sounds easy to use, just pop it in the freezer, then pull it out when you’re ready to make your pops and fill it with your favorite fruit juices, or yogurt mixture for creamy pops. Wait about 7 minutes and your pops are ready.
Here’s a quick demonstration video:
We love smoothies at our house, and most of our smoothie recipes make great healthy pops. I can think of several mixtures and ideas for pops already, especially with summer coming. You can also find recipes at the Zoku website.
The Zoku Pop Maker can make up to 9 pops (3 sets of 3 pops) before it needs refreezing. The nonstick cast-aluminum molds have a proprietary solution sealed inside their bases for rapid, uniform freezing of the pops. It’s also BPA- and phthalate-free.
The Zoku Quick Pop Maker, has a space-saving design (8 by 4 1/2 by 4 1/2 inches), comes with six reusable sticks, six reusable drip guards and one Super Tool for removing pops from molds.
Sounds intriguing, I may have to get one to try it out. It has a suggested retail price of $49.95. You can find The Zoku Quick Pop Maker at Brookstone here: www.brookstone.com, at Sur La Table here: www.surlatable.com, and www.zokuhome.com.
You can also get the Zoku Quick Pops™ recipe book filled with delicious recipes with color photos, to go with your Quick Pop Maker for around $16.95.
