We love Monopoly at our house! I’ve loved Monopoly since I was a kid having marathon Monopoly challenges with my cousin. We used to play all day! Now my son’s a big Monopoly fan too. We have the original version, of course, but we also have several other versions, and even a few themed game boards in our closet. That’s why I was super excited when Hasbro sent me their latest Monopoly game to review. Monopoly Empire gives the original game a modern day twist, where players are investing in companies instead of housing complexes.
The game is similar in age range to the original, recommended for ages 8 and up, with 2 to 4 players. It will retail for around $19.99. Perfect to add to your game loving tween or teen’s Christmas list this year!
The MONOPOLY EMPIRE game, lets you buy and sell some of the world’s favorite brands. Twenty-two top brands such as Coca-Cola, Xbox, Samsung, EA and McDonald’s line this super cool tricked out game board.
The object of this game isn’t to collect properties and build houses. Instead you make your way around the board buying up your favorite mega brands and adding them to your billboard tower.
Collect rent from your opponents based on your billboard and be the first to complete your town to win the game!
Our family had a blast playing the game with the new twist, and it goes at a much faster pace than the original Monopoly game! This makes it perfect for a Friday night family game night!
The Monopoly Empire game tokens are super cool too! My son of course wanted the game controller! I picked the car and my husband chose the Ducati!
There is also a Paramount movie director’s board, some McDonald’s Fries, and a Coke.
Guess what? We’re also giving away a Monopoly Empire game to one lucky Kid’s Fun reader. This giveaway ends in just a couple days, so don’t wait to enter! Open to US residents only, void where prohibited! Please enter on the Rafflecopter form below.
I received a copy of Monopoly Empire to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.
