I have a confession! I enjoy Black Friday shopping! I always go out with my sister in law, and we get up in the wee hours of the morning to head out to the shopping centers. After the turkey and pumpkin pie have been eaten on Thanksgiving day, we sit down and plan our strategy. We look through all the Black Friday ads and decide where we want to go. We know there are going to be lines, and we know there are going to be tons of people. It’s just a part of the day! We just relax and have fun with it.
This year I was on a mission to get all of my stocking stuffers while we were out on Black Friday. We hit the mall, and several department stores, then we headed to Walmart. My son has braces right now, so I didn’t want to buy him a bunch of candy, but of course he’s still expecting some. I needed a balance.
I found several stocking stuffer ideas for him at Walmart. They had DVDs on sale, many for $5, so I picked up a couple I thought he’d like. I also picked up a little candy, and some accessories for his iPod. Then I headed over to the Health and Beauty aisle to pick him up a new toothbrush.
I picked up one of the Colgate Holiday Packs for Children. He’s been a big Sponge Bob fan since he could say “Sponge Bob” so I got him a Sponge Bob Colgate Holiday Pack with a spin toothbrush and toothpaste. I think when he has fun brushing his teeth, he’s more likely to do it.
I love that Colgate is spreading holiday smiles with their new Holiday Packs for children! You can check out my entire shop here: Shopping for Stocking Stuffers
I might have to go back and get one for each of my nieces and nephews. Maybe even one for myself! We’ve got to counter act all those holiday sweets somehow!
I like to wrap as I buy, so this morning I wrapped all my Black Friday purchases, even my stocking stuffers. I’ve got to slow my son down a little on Christmas morning!
Then I took stock to see if I had enough stocking stuffers to fill out his stocking. So I laid everything out.
Then I got out his stocking and stuffed it all in. Looks good to me!
It’s good to have one thing out of the way for Christmas morning! I’m well on the way for my holiday shopping this year, I just have a few things to finish up on my list. One of those things is a gift for each of my nieces and nephews. I think the Colgate Holiday Packs might be just the thing for them too!
