My son is 12 years old, and very into sports. He plays basketball, baseball, and he just finished up with fall football. With all those sports there’s also plenty of sweating, and with football, heavy pads and equipment laying right on your skin. He’s also going through puberty in A BIG WAY! Put all of those elements together, and you’ve got an acne problem! We’ve been fighting acne breakouts for about 9 months now, so when we had the chance to give Proactiv 365 a try, of course we went for it.
We’ve been using the 3 step system for the last couple weeks. There’s a Renewing Cleanser I’ve been having him use in the shower, to wash with. There’s also a Revitalizing Toner he’s been using after he showers, by applying it with a cotton ball. The last step is a Repairing Treatment he smooths on his skin in a thin layer.
Here are some before photos.
And here’s an after photo.
The photos aren’t the greatest, I had a hard time getting him to pose, and an even harder time getting him to hold still, and he was definite in not letting me photograph his face. The trial period was only a couple weeks, and his acne hasn’t gone away completely, but it has definitely improved.
He wasn’t the best about using all three steps daily, but I tried to get him to use it most days. The Proactiv website also has tips to help, and 24 hour online advice to help you through the program, and to answer any questions. Because everyone’s skin is unique the offer a personalized program just for you, or your child, which definitely makes it stand out from most other acne treatment plans. You can find more information about the program here: Proactiv 365
We like the Proactiv 365 products enough that we plan to keep using it beyond the trial period to help keep my son’s acne breakouts in check through his teenage years.
I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Proactiv and received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.
