I am always rushing out at the last minute for birthday cards, stopping to buy a card on the way to the party, or sending out birthday cards late! I always say I’m going to get organized so I have cards on hand for upcoming birthdays. I even have a list of all of our family’s birthdays, but I still struggle at the last minute getting birthday cards!

This weekend was my nephew’s birthday party. Of course I didn’t have a card for his party on Sunday, so we stopped on the way to the party to get a gift and a card. While I was at Walmart in the card section I decided to pick up some more birthday cards to cover the next 5 or 6 birthdays coming up on my calendar.

Walmart has .47 cent and .97 cent Hallmark Value Cards, and most of the cards are really cool. They don’t even look like value cards and they have a large selection to choose from! The best part is they also have the Hallmark Card Rewards Program~ for every 5 cards you buy you earn a reward. So not only am I getting organized for upcoming birthdays, I’m saving money at the same time! How awesome is that?

Hallmark Value cards at WalmartI found 7 great cards all together. I found a cute robot card for my nephew, a card for my husband, since his birthday is coming up in April. A cute card for my niece who’s birthday is in a couple weeks. Another card for my son, and a card for my mom, all for under $7! Score!

It didn’t take long at all to find cards I liked, and that fit their personalities. I love humorous cards with a fun message, and they were super easy to find. I’m also a huge sucker for cute animal cards, and I found plenty of those!

While I was at Walmart I headed to the toy section and got a fun toy for my nephew to go with the card, along with a gift bag and some tissue paper to wrap the gift in the car on the way.

My nephew loves dinosaurs, building blocks, and robots, so the robot card I got him was a big hit! Check out the super cute and cheesy smile!

My nephew had a fabulous birthday! Complete with all his favorites including the robot card and of course a fabulous building block cake my sister made!

The building block cake was super easy to make! My sister just used King Dons for the connectors, check it out! You could also use cupcakes with the tops cut off!

I love Hallmark cards. The one thing that I hate though is buying cards for kids that just throw them away, I love that they are now making cards that are so affordable.

Every little boy’s wish is to have LEGOs and robots for his birthday! (or at least it is in my house.) Love the card and such a cute cake. Hope he had an amazing birthday.
